The Books of 2008 (First Half)

I’ve decided to post my “books read” list every six months instead of at the end of the year.  Here are the books I read January 1-June 30, 2008.  See also the books of 2007.

Blackston, Ray. Par for the Course
Buckley, William F. The Rake. My review here.
Christie, Agatha. And Then There Were None
Christie, Agatha. Murder on the Orient Express
Cloud, Henry. 9 Things You Simply Must Do
Fitzgerald, F. Scott. The Great Gatsby
George, Christian. Sex, Sushi, and Salvation (A Christian publisher sent me a free review copy of this one. My review appears here).
Grisham, John. Skipping Christmas
Harris, Joshua. Boy Meets Girl. Bad, except for the chapter on the cross. So many unproven assertions and personal opinions (issues really) masquerading as theology. Avoid if you can.
Harris, Robert. The Ghost
James, P.D. Children of Men
Lee, Harper. To Kill a Mockingbird. As with The Great Gatsby, re-reading this one 15 years after high school opened my eyes as to why we were forced to read it to begin with. An incredible book.
Lewis, C.S. The Four Loves
