For the record, Revenge of the Sith is a sweet movie. I just got back from seeing it at the Uptown in DC. Miles better than the two other prequels, and I’d say even better than Return of the Jedi. Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen have grown into their roles well (even Christensen’s romantic scenes weren’t that cringeworthy). Ian McDiarmid steals every scene as the human Palpatine and then goes way over-the-top as the deformed Emperor. The battle scenes, unlike the previous two, were actually compelling (especially the opening one). The fleeting connections to Episode IV — Bail Organa’s ship, the Jedi ships as proto-TIE fighters, cameos by Chewie, Tarkin, and the Millenium Falcon (or so I’m told) — were fun to look for. Sure, Sam Jackson and Natalie Portman were poorly used (again), but not to distraction. I’m a fanboy and I had a blast. Isn’t that what it’s all about?
